Paint work: 1969 Dodge Superbee 440 six pack

This is a car that was painted by my business partner Greg Johnson, who has been restoring cars professionally now for over a decade. This car is an original 1969 Dodge Superbee A12 440 six pack car, with white interior and B5 blue exterior.  The owner bought this car since 1980 and he drove the car all through high school and college and parked it when “life got in the way.”  In 2000 he decided to begin restoring the car.  After the entire car was stripped down to the bare metal, the 1969 Superbee was put back into the proper shape, the proper way, and painted in its original color, B5 blue. The owner decided that since the original 440 engine was long gone, he would build another 440 engine but punch it out to 500ci. That, and a bullet proof rear end and 4 speed, all hook up to make enough horsepower to push this muscle machine down the quarter mile track at 13.2 sec @ 108mph. Not bad for a car that was built to be a weekend driver.  He has showed this Superbee 440 six pack many times, winning his class when he usually does, including the Restification class at National MOPAR meets in Denver, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale. It has also been the subject of a featured article, and cover in the August 2010 issue of Mopar Muscle.

This Superbee 440 six pack was photographed on the streets in Golden at the “Mile Hi MOPAR Nationals 2009”.   All the class winners were allowed to park on the street on the Thursday before the MOPAR NHRA Nationals.
