In Part 1 of this a 1972 Porsche 914 conversion to a 914/6 GT race car, we show the car after media blasting  and outlined all the work that we will be completing.

Now we will tackle the left hand side, starting with the rear quarter replacement and alignment.  As you begin to study the pictures, you will soon see badly repaired and replaced accident damaged panels.  Our task is to correct this by making a new rear quarter panel, but keeping the door handle recess section.  Then we repair, followed by grafting in the new panel. Our final stage to wrap up this part, is to graft the new quarter panel seamlessly into the body with correct factory alignment.
